The New Orleans Storyville Museum is delighted to announce that we will be offering guided tours of the museum in the coming weeks! We are looking for a few engaging individuals to lead tours of the museum as well as work the ticket counter.

Job Description

In addition to experience as a Tour Guide, the right candidate will have some experience with retail and/or hospitality and customer service.  We will be running tours inside the museum lasting from 90-120 minutes twice a day.  All employees are expected to also work the register selling both tickets to the museum as well as items from the gift shop when not leading tours.  No previous experience in a museum setting is required, although we will expect candidates to become familiar with not just the tour program but also the POS and Gift Shop so that they can be helpful answering guest questions in addition to leading tours. Some restocking/tidying of common spaces is required.

This job requires employees to wear a uniform, some pieces of the uniform will be provided by the museum. White button down shirt, black pants and black tie are required for the desk.

The job is part-time flex schedule, candidates should be available to work 1-3 shifts ranging from 4-8hrs and paying $20/hr.
